In the short half year since I joined the specialist, I actually feel that this period is still relatively difficult for me. From the stage where I had almost no foundation when I first came in part 1, to now I can improve myself through some of my research capabilities and sketch skills. Expressing my ideas, sketch skill is still a very big challenge for me. Although I am much better at drawing now than before, I feel that compared with other people's works, I still need to train. What I want to say about the research part is that it is the most confident part among the four parts. Because during the part 1 assessment, I got a good level in the research part, but during the one-on-one communication with the teacher in part 2, the teacher still suggested that I draw inspiration from some designers and their design works. I find this really useful. It is equivalent to having predecessors clear a lot of obstacles for you. Of course, research is also very important for us to do projects. For example, as a product design student like me, material research is very important. You can understand what you are doing in this project (more clearly) by analyzing materials.

One project I want to talk about about research is my circular project. During the research, I searched a lot about toy robots and sustainable development. During the research, I found that there is a material in the world called sulapac material, which can replace plastic. To achieve the effect of protecting the environment, and because the subtitle I chose is to make an educational toy, in the material research part, I found that wood board is a recyclable material, so I think it is feasible to use wood as my raw material for research. I used many wooden blocks of different shapes to make my toy robot. In addition, my toy robot is detachable, which can exercise children's logical thinking ability and creativity. I'm actually quite looking forward to the upcoming part 3. After all, all projects after part 3 are relatively autonomous. It's like a bridge to connect with the undergraduate courses. During this period, I decided that my research direction will be It tends to be more physical and functional. I will bring myself to conduct research like a product designer. Of course, I will also focus on material research. After all, if you want to be a qualified product designer, you must do it. It saves costs for the company. All in all, I am still looking forward to my work in part 3. After all, after half a year of study, I have gained a lot of things that I didn’t understand before.

As for designers, I want to say that an industrial designer I like very much is named Raymond Lowe. He was originally a soldier. In 1937, he collaborated with the Pennsylvania Railroad to design several models, among which the front end he designed was very streamlined. He is also the first designer in the world to be featured in Time Magazine
